Spring Wordart

April 17th, 2008 · No Comments

I am so happy that Spring has finally arrived!  This is my favorite time of year!  I love the flowers, the rain, and the promise of new beginnings!  To celebrate I would like to offer you a couple of free Wordart downloads.  These files are in PNG format so if you use a graphics program like Photoshop, the background is transparent.  Which means you can layer it!  I have also included a mini tutorial that demonstates how to add word art to your photos before you print.  You can also print the wordart out on cardstock or a transparency to use in your projects and layouts.  Enjoy!

To add wordart to a photo using Photohshop:

Please Note:  This will make permanent changes to your photo once you save it, so make sure you create a duplicate copy of your photo before proceeding.

1.  Open your photo and the wordart file in Photoshop.

2.  Make sure your wordart file is active and hit CTRL+A, to select the word art.  You should see “marching ants” around the canvas.

3.  Now press CTRL+C to copy the selection.

4. Activate the file with the photo and click CTRL+V.  This will paste the selected word art into a new layer in your photo file.

5. Make sure the layer with the word art is the active layer and select the Move Tool from the Tool Box at the left of the screen.  It looks like this—>  Capture   Now, position the word art where you would like it on your photo.

6.  Save and print!

Tip:  You can change the color of your wordart to fit your photo better.  With the word art layer selected, go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation>  and play around with the sliders to change the colors of your word art.

Happy Spring!
